Jason Hope may not be the first person that you think of when it comes to anti-aging treatments, but he’s been at the forefront of helping to find new and innovative treatments for the past several years. Since 2010, he’s been helping the SENS Research Foundation in its quest to combat the negative effects of aging. The relationship between the two started when Jason Hope donated an initial $500,000 to the foundation in 2010. Mr. Hope and some other investors have helped the SENS Foundation fund some innovative treatments and products to help fight a few different diseases related to aging. Chief among these are the likes of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. The SENS Foundation has also been working on treatments related to cellular and molecular damage over the course of aging.
Since being founded the company has relied almost exclusively on the backing of investors, researchers and scientists. Jason Hope has reportedly been helping the company regularly ever since he made that initial $500,000 donation. When Mr. Hope first donated, much of the money went towards building the Cambridge SENS Laboratory while the rest was used to start some new research programs. Speaking about what made him donate to the SENS Laboratory, Jason Hope has said that it was due to the innovative treatments and initiatives that the non profit organization was spearheading. The Foundation has helped to lead the way when it comes to the use of the naturally occurring chemical Glucosepane to help treat anti-aging treatments.
Glucosepane occurs naturally in the human body, but when it breaks down, it can begin to affect the aging process negatively. Since the protein was discovered, The SENS Foundation and others have been attempting to create treatments against anti-aging with it. Jason Hope is a serial investor and entrepreneur based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Despite being so heavily involved in a great deal of philanthropic causes, he still oversees a number of businesses and investments. Aside from anti aging treatments, Mr. Hope also donates to many medical companies that he sees as taking an unorthodox but innovative approach to treating illnesses. According to reports, he’s extremely interested in the areas of smart technology and automation.
